Fiber: recommended amounts
Most experts recommend approximately 40 grams of fiber each day.
In other words:
Men require 16 grams of fiber per 1,000 calories
(based on a daily intake of 2,500 calories)
Women require 20 grams of fiber per 1,000 calories
(based on a daily intake of 2,000 calories)
Most people in industrialized nations only consume between 12 and 19 grams of fiber per day -- far from the recommended amounts. High-fiber foods that can help people achieve their daily fiber targets include whole-grain products, legumes, soya, linseed, potatoes, fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts and SolaGrain.
Fiber: a lot helps a lot!
Experts say that a healthy diet includes at least 40 g of high-quality fiber per day, or 20 g per 1,000 calories.
Increase fiber content with SolaGrain
Normal pasta made of durum wheat only contains 2.5 g of fiber per 100 g. By adding SolaGrain it would be easy to increase the fiber content of pasta.
